If you like art and vintage this is a must visit shop. The owner sits behind the counter and usually is paining another lovely painting. The walls are covered with frames which contain photo’s or paintings. But they also have some great vintage design accessories and antiques. Many of the paintings are rather small, so they do fit in your suitcase and might just be a great remembrance to take home.

Nearby Mercado Colon a super cool shop in shop store, Vintage, design, accessories, bags shoes, clothes and much more. Seriously they do have a large collection of great stuff. If you are looking for a unique outfit, the perfect present or just to get inspired you must visit this unique place.

Such a lovely store in the old city center. Nearby the Mercado Central. They have great accessories for your home or to take as a present for your family and friends. They sell things which are really original and every time I go in I need to buy something (although I do not need it). A must visit shop while in Valencia if you like interior design.

La tienda de Gemma – Calle de Barraca 76, Valencia
Within the Cabanyal area a real treasure. Not the usual collection which you can find in many shops. But beautiful clothes, great accessories like earrings, scarfs and bags. Gemma loves what she is doing and welcomes you as a friend when entering her shop. Nearby the beach so if you are in need for something to look gorgeous with when going out, make sure to pay this shop a visit. All for women, but for the men a great place to buy a present to take home.
street market
Cabanyal Streetmarket – Carrer del Mediterrani, Valencia
Every Thursday morning there is a huge street market in the Cabanyal area (10.00 – 14.00). Clothes, pots & pans, underwear, lot’s of second hand clothes, shoes, bags, home accessories etc. Hardly any tourists, mainly local people which gives this market a real Spanish feel. If you are looking for a cheap outfit make sure you go there. You can easily reach the market by bus 1, 19, 32 and 99.
Food market
Mercado Cabanyal – C/ Martí Grajales, 4, Valencia
If you love fresh food you should go to this market. The local market in the old fisherman district of Valencia. Great atmosphere and they offer such great products. Vegetables, meat, fish, bread, wine etc. The real Spanish life, cause hardly any tourists. The bar has got good coffee for just € 1.
